So i posted the linked post on Astar's forum. First it's not anything like a rug. people need to stop calling everything a rug. Both Arthswap and Starlay are operating & executing what they were built to do.
The issue at hand is these teams are not experienced builders. They might be good at coding, but the rest of the operation is a hot mess. From bad tokenomics/utility to bad community management. In fact I think the heads of the project had moonboi syndrome. IIRC arthswap was comparing themselves to pancake swap and others. So when they valued their projects they looked at it from that angle, and some stupid survey's if i recall right. Starlay just made an absolutely stupid decision that cost them dearly w/ letting a whale into the ido after if ended. There are 1 or 2 other smaller shitcoins that were most likely destined for failure.
I wish I could post some of the arthswap's arrogant and condescending community managers replies from discord. pretty embarrassing. I feel like they were still trying to come up with the utility for their token because they couldn't really tell us what it was.
Arthswap and Starlay both have good projects just bad bad bad execution on launching their token in pretty much every way you could think.
Bottom line is Astar itself is a great project and will be a big one to watch next bull cycle. It's a newborn eco with inexperienced builders who are going thru some growing pains. Unfortunately the macro unaware took it in the shorts by partaking in the IDO's.
The projects are nice and do what they're intended to do. But Astar IMO needs some more controls when letting projects enter the builders program. Astar is a beast & now deploying WASM to it's kusama chain. Don't sleep on it is my NFA despite some growing pains.
