I told my 3 best friends I will back up their Bitcoin investment (up to USD$10k each) if Bitcoin goes to zero. One is moving the $10k now, the second one is moving $1k now but will eventually reach $10k, and the third is still thinking about it.

1. Yes, I will pay them the $10k if they want to pull out earlier if it drops to an amount they are not comfortable.

1. No, $30k is not a lot of money for me.

2. I agree, this approach is manipulative. Prob of $0/coin is less than the prob of $10M/coin. So such, I don't recommend this approach. For these friends, they will not view it as manipulative as it comes from me.

3. A better approach, as someone commented, is to offer a buy back from them at their purchase price point. I'm ok with this approach for my close friends but not my family ????

But after I did this, and they starting making decisions, I realized that, since Bitcoin will NEVER hit zero (at most we will have those 60-70% corrections and then go back up, or a war hits and everybody sells and we have a 90% drop, also eventually going back up again), my strategy should be replicated.

I'm thinking of telling relatives and other friends the same thing. If Bitcoin goes to zero, I will pay them back their investment.

Is this something we should do as a Reddit group? ???? Thoughts?

re. the 3 best friends: I have been telling them to buy for about 3 years now. One of them recently started buying (like a month ago). And this week I told them about my backing-them-up plan, and they started making the moves stated in the title. I truly believe it will go up to $10m+ per coin, and when this happens the world will experience the largest shift of wealth like never seen in history. So much poverty will come out of this. Of course, Bitcoin is not to blame, the reason being the hyperinflamation of currency, which when it hits it won't be gradual. Whoever holds Bitcoin is saved from this scenario. I love my 3 best friends too much to let that happen to them. Hence, my proposal to them above.
