Removing emotions and selling

It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride for crypto, stocks, and the larger global economy for many months now. We’re all feeling the pressures of inflation and many are doubling down on crypto as the bastion of hope to get through these unprecedented times.

I have made mistakes in crypto over the last year that I’m absolutely gutted about but nevertheless pushing on. I wont belabour the details in full l, but if you throw a dart at a board of recent catastrophes - I was likely there fumbling and losing money. I’ve spread myself thin to say the least.

Saving grace to all of this is a shining little gem of a bag. It’s not my only bag but it’s one of few. It’s the only one that’s been up for the majority of the bear market and I’m sitting on an unrealized profit at about a 6x of my original investment. It’s a sizeable amount of money (for me) and quite frankly more than I even have sitting in a bank account in fiat. At one point I was nearly 15x, but I sat on it assuming the pump would never end. It’s retracted but not to a loss by any means.

I feel like this is my baby. It’s kept my portfolio green through this whole bear. I’ve been invested into it since it’s inception. I’m as involved as I can be in the community through discord and twitter but I know that I will have to part ways with it during the next bull run.

I couldn’t sell when it was 15x, won’t sell at the current 6x, and worry that I’ll just ride the coaster up and down and miss my opportunity to truly ever take profit. If I take profit I will feel like I’m letting this community that I’ve become a part down in some way. Even typing that out makes me feel like I’m thinking wrong.

In short, what advice do you have for a person like me who is way too emotionally invested into the project and the community to take profit? Any and all advice is welcome - even if that advice is to touch grass or make more IRL friends.
