Looking to set up my own validator

Hey all,

I'm sure this has been asked ad nauseam but can someone point me to the best/most recent video on how to build/set up my own validator?

A couple quick questions-

Is a validator similar to a Bitcoin node where I will order parts (like a Raspberry Pi) and build it then install the software or is it going to be more like just running the software on a laptop?

One thing I'm nervous about is getting slashed or having downtime with the validator that will cause me to lose my ETH. Is this a legitimate concern?
