Help Understanding Potential Scam Token - $Hello

Last night I purchased a token on Uniswap that now appears to have been a scam. While I was able to purchase the token, I can no longer sell it, which from what I am reading is a classic sign of a honeypot. Oh well, shit happens.

What's confusing here is the other wallet addresses that have been performing transactions with this token. As part of my research before purchasing it, these transactions were my main motivation as there is not much information on $Hello out there at all.

Specifically....the very first transaction for this token is from the Ethereum Genesis wallet to Vitalik Buterin's wallet.

The subsequent transactions show Vb's wallet sending out the token to numerous other high-value ETH wallets in 100B increments.

So can someone please help....what am I missing here? How can a token with these types of players involved end up just being some run of the mill scam? Is there a way to fake or simulate these kinds of transactions with a smart contract? I didn't put a bunch of money or anything in there (one of the lowest holders on the totem pole thankfully), but this has kinda shook my faith in Crypto in general. Is the blockchain lying to me?
