That's the power of decentralization being demonstrated with real world events within the past decade.

It doesn't matter if you are living in a country with a crazy dictator, and your currency has failed and has become completely worthless. Venezuelan have been able to salvage some of their wealth by putting it in crypto, and were able to still have money and buy goods.

It doesn't matter if your government was overthrown by a military dictatorship. As we've seen in Myanmar, crypto will continue to work, and people can keep their wealth from being seized by the military government by having it secure on the blockchain.

It doesn't matter if there is a run on banks, or cash isn't available anymore. If the Taliban takes over your country, crypto will still work. The money you kept on the blockchain will still be there. And anyone with electricity and an internet connection can trade goods with you. Often, that means only needing a phone.

It doesn't matter if you're in a country that's so scared of crypto, it makes mining Bitcoin illegal, and results in all its major miners being shut down. As we've seen with China, a government can't simply shut down Bitcoin. And the mining simply got picked up by other countries.

It doesn't matter if there is a worldwide pandemic and everything is locked down in your country. Your funds will still be there and accessible at any time.

It doesn't matter if you need to run away from your country. You can access your crypto from anywhere in the world. You can cross borders with just your seed. You can memorize it if you're afraid your Ledger/Trezor may be seized. Whether you have to escape Syria, or you're escaping China's ethnic persecution.

It doesn't matter if your country is at war with a superpower, and your banking and payment systems are pretty much gone. You can still access and receive funds and use crypto to buy goods, as we've seen in Ukraine.

But....

It also doesn't matter if you're an oligarch getting sanctioned. Your funds in crypto will still be safe and accessible. And no one will be able to touch it.

It also doesn't matter if there are sanctions in your country. You can still access your crypto.

It also doesn't matter if you're a criminal, and want to fund criminal activity. It's very hard for governments to stop your illegal transactions with crypto. At least if you're a smart criminal, and understand how a public ledger works.

It also doesn't matter if you want to launder some money, and sell an NFT for millions.

It also doesn't matter if you're a tax evader, and want to hide some money using crypto.

Crypto doesn't discriminate between good and evil. Legal or illegal. Justice or injustice.

Because in crypto, you truly own your money, no matter what, and no matter who you are. Whether you are good or bad is irrelevant.

Transactions and ownership is absolute, and is never contingent to anything else about you. It's unconditional ownership. You own the key, you own the money, period. Politics, religion, or any status you have, is irrelevant.

And the events in the world for over the last decade have tested this, and proven this.
