All it took was to give away free stuff.

I'm not only shocked by how the sub's perspective changed, but also by how this airdrop changed my own perception when it comes to own an NFT.

Before getting my avatar I thought that NFTs were just a blatant nonsense. Why would I pay to have something that a simple screenshot can mimic, right?

However and somehow, knowing that I'm the only one with this avatar in a blockchain feels... good???

It strikes me to think how politicians and big companies use the same or similar strategy to manipulate the public's perception on a certain topic, and when I start to think about that I'm actually terrified.

Did your perception on NFTs also changed? Did something inside you regarding owning NFTs also changed?

So many questions...
