I am curious about why despite all the enthusiasm we have heard about the theoretical potential of blockchain technology in the past few years, in sectors such as supply chain, digital identity, web 3, gaming, IoT, healthcare... and much more.
We currently don't see many concrete applications in real-world business applications, and its adoption by mainstream companies has been slow or, nonexistent.
I've also come across this post recently that also intrigued me where in the comments, a lot of people seem to go against the trend of adding blockchain into games.
Why does gaming need to exist on the blockchain?
Is this technology not as suited as we think for use cases outside tokenization?
I'm actually quite interested in this topic, and I am writing my bachelor's thesis on it, I am not too sure if I am allowed to post any survey links here, but I've posted some on my profile in other communities. I'm trying to grasp the general feeling about this trend we've all been hearing about!
