Like seriously, I'm genuinely curious, I've been building a nice crypto portfolio for the past 9 months but everytime I see a really nice project thats looking to do something in the web3 space, like infrastructure or data storage or anonymous transactions or anything, there's a token. Like, are governance tokens essentially stocks? And you get to decide and vote as a shareholder?
So the ask is: if a company is doing something in this ecosystem, why does it need a token to execute it if what it's doing is not related to the fiscal element of crypto like data handling or deep learning or energy efficiency?
