A few years ago, we had microstrategy, tesla balance sheet bitcoin and bitcoin payment method, then we had El Salvador adopting bitcoin as legal tender.
Since El Salvador, we haven't had any major adoption stories. on the contrary, the developments have mostly been negative, companies selling off bitcoin and stop payment method. Michael Saylor had a major push for corporations to adopt bitcoin on the balance sheet and there was a couple of big meetings as well. However, we haven't had any new companies adopting bitcoin in a meaningful way. On the country adoption, there have been a lot of speculation on other countries following El Salvador but none materialized so far. Personal adoption seems to be slow as well.
Why is it? Is there any structural reason why it is so difficult?
