When there are colonies on Mars, will Bitcoin usage be practical since the network needs to connect with Earth?

I see no reason why they couldn't layer a Martian network over existing Bitcoin network. But Martian civilizations will be too focused on keeping things afloat at first to worry about trade. It will be a select group of specifically chosen individuals with predetermined work to do. Practically communist lol. Then maybe civilizations will start growing, individuals won't be as necessary for everyone else's wellbeing, maybe gravity and atmosphere restored, and there will be room for currencies (Bitcoin). But then, as the economy in Mars grows and grows, outpacing growth on Earth, and less and less trade is conducted with Earthlings, won't the limited amount of Bitcoin in Mars be individually worth more than the limited amount of Bitcoin on Earth. And as Bitcoin is fungible, how would arbitrage work? How does mining on Mars work? I think they might need a Mars exclusive currency eventually. Maybe a hard fork from Bitcoin, and the supply of Bitcoin will be 21 million, less what the Martians take. But they wouldn't be able to start off with their own currency from the beginning because I'd assume mining won't be possible/prioritized, and trade with Earthlings would still be important.

Does anyone have books about interplanetary economies? Am I wrong on my thesis? Shit's interesting lol
