How do you see the role of decentralized finance (DeFi) evolving in the future of cryptocurrency adoption and what implications will this have for the wider financial ecosystem?
As a thought experiment, consider that 10-20 years from now cryptocurrency has broken through the mainstream, BTC and ETH have gone to the moon (or are headed there), and now crypto has become a normal household name.
Would you be willing to take a job that paid out in cryptocurrency? Would you be willing to use cryptocurrency for your everyday needs? Would you still want fiat cash to exist as a parallel possible payment method? Would you only use cryptocurrency for certain transactions, like say making online purchases on places like amazon, shopify, etsy, etc.? Would you have a retirement account that utilized crypto and/or invested in various cryptocurrencies?
What would a world with mainstream crypto look like to you? What do you think would be some benefits and/or pitfalls from mainstream adoption?
