Wallet of Satoshi leaving America is likely because they have a custodial wallet solution. Zap, Phoenix, Breeze, and Muun* are non-custodial.

Some say that Muun* is not a real lightning wallet. I'm not well versed enough with the tech side of it to comment. I've only seen commentary by other people here that says it is not.

With more and more exchanges integrating with lightning, this is the best thing you can do: 1. Withdraw bitcoin from the exchanges (in small amounts regularly) using one of the lightning wallets mentioned. This will eventually lead to....
2. More channels being filled with sats, thus increasing the level of....
3. Decentralization on lightning.
