I’ve got $20 of LRC in an old wallet that I want to send to an exchange. I know I needed some ETH for gas fees, so I transferred $20 of ETH from my exchange to my wallet. No problems.
When trying to send the LRC back to the exchange, etherscan tells me the transaction failed with these error messages:
- Warning! Error encountered during contract execution [out of gas]
- ERC-20 Token Transfer Error (Unable to locate corresponding Transfer Event Logs), Check with Sender
My LRC funds don’t move, but I’m still deducted the ETH gas fee. I don’t understand how I can be told I’m out of gas, but the transaction still deducts the gas fee from me
I don’t want to keep trying and losing money each time the transaction fails. Can someone explain what I’m doing wrong please?
