I'm reading a guide on moving BTC to a USB flash drive. I thought it would just be a case of "install a wallet like Electrum on a USB drive, send the BTC from old wallet to new one on the USB", but I'm being told to install a portable, bootable OS. Having it stored on a device that isn't connected to the internet is good enough security for me. It's not my life savings on there or anything.
So can I just install electrum on the USB drive and transfer the BTC over? Any other essential things I should do?
