This is how crypto is being used in 3rd world country as far as i am aware !

Greetings, im from Myanmar as you may already know and i'd like to tell you how crypto is being used here.

Before military coup, there were a lot of crypto miners and investors dating back to 2015 and most of them made it big time and almost all of them are now in foreign better countries.

Crypto went viral in my country back in 2017 for a bit and people lost interest until military coup happened.

During the coup, the country had a literal banking crisis which results to _

• People are being allowed to withdraw up to $100 a week,
• People exchange banking cash with actual cash for a premium (Pay $110 banking cash to get $100 Actual cash).
• Online payments / banking payments get heavily monitored / cenceored / blocked.
• Native currency values drop over 100% in just 2 years (everything cost double now compares to last 2 years prices).
• Actual USD cash got more demand and scare in the market and sold with a huge premium.

This results to _

• Mid income families buying up tons of gold and stablecoins (USDT mostly).
• Small but effective economy of exchanging things with Crypto .
• Lots of web 3 game players replacing their jobs with web 3 gaming.
• Lots of air drop hunters (some got big with ENS, ARB etc).
• High networth individuals converting their dollars into Bitcoin & Ethereum (Bitcoin mostly).
• Binance P2P filled with Local Sellers and Buyers (Binance dominate here).
• Lots of small time sellers.
• Shadow government stating that Crypto is legal to use and accept Donations in USDT. *With current bear , i am doubt that their initial investment is in Green but lots of them are still holding due to no better alternatives being available.

This is how crypto is being used in 3rd world countries with recent coup and economics turmoil.

For us, this is not a risky investment, this is the best alternatives we can get.
