There's going to be a privacy layer soon for EVM dApps.

One of the things I love about Ethereum is the permissionless nature of it that allows various utility to be built on it that can be beneficial for everyone. And a privacy layer is exactly one such utility. Due to the open nature of blockchain one of the challenges that is commonly faced and needs to be tackled with for the wider adoption of web3 would be configurable privacy. You can't have complete privacy or else you just end up attracting the wrong kind of attention, both from those that are critical of blockchain, and naturally nefarious actors. But we still need privacy to protect users, and to avoid MEV running wild like what happened during the DeFi craze, and NFT minting during the NFT bubble.

Front running is a real problem and having a privacy layer open to all EVM chains that can be easily integrated on EVM chains is in my opinion an important step to both protect users from MEV and also help it scale transactional costs. I don't know about you, but during the DeFi craze it wasn't uncommon to pay hundreds of dollars in gas when you were interacting with various liquidity pools on Ethereum, likely why the rise of other network sprang forth.

And while it was nice to interact with them, I felt like the amount of scams, rug pulling and let's face it, out right ponzi schemes were rampant. I ended up losing money myself, and returned to dApps native on Ethereum, paying a higher price, but at least I felt safer. You may have noticed that privacy is getting more spotlights lately, even saw bloomberg's crypto twitter account tweeting about it, and Vitalik has recently co-authored a paper about it (Complete Knowledge: Preventing Encumbrance of Cryptographic Secrets) so a privacy layer that encompasses with the EVM built dApps that allows seamless messaging between the already built protocols with the privacy layer for preserving privacy is something that I personally am super hyped about.
