The IMF is once again trying to gain [SERIOUS] power and control. They market CBDCs as better than real decentralized crypto. Then encourage local CBDCs, push international utility all to create a global CBDC that they control to have power over all natio

The IMF is once again back to their old game. With nations exploring CBDCs, they see this as their next opportunity to amass more power and control. The excuse this time is "CBDCs are needed to...have more efficient and fairer transactions [and] interoperability". They state these are the reasons why we need a global CBDC platform. Of course, cryptocurrency provides all these things and more without complete centralized power and dominion but we continue.

This is followed by a very nasty excuse of that CBDCs could also help promote financial inclusion and make remittances cheaper, noting that the average cost of money transfers stands at 6.3% amounting to $44 billion annually. Of course, instead of actually fixing the issues in the system to make remittances cheaper, something they have clearly ignored for decades, they use this as a Trojan Horse to pass off their CDBC idea as a good one.

And this is the worst part. Here they blatantly state, "If countries develop CDBCs only for domestic deployment we are underutilizing their capacity". What they obviously mean here is they are not taking more power and control that they could have by not having a global CBDC. So they are push nations to have local CBDC's, an already terrible idea, also pushing local nations to make the CBDC have international usage outside of just locally in the country and them using these to create a global CBDC to have power and control over every single nation.

To add insult they make sure to add "CBDCs should be backed by assets and added that cryptocurrencies are an investment opportunity when backed by assets, but when they are not they are a speculative investment." When CBDCs can be use to make your money expire, or to reward "obedient" citizens and punish others all I can say is CBDCs are an investment only in a dystopia.
