The bear market

Been seeing posts about how a lot of altcoins won’t survive a bear market after the bull run is done, but since I only got into crypto this year I don’t really know what a bear market/transition to a bear market actually looks like, Just got a few questions

1. What happens to the price of altcoins during the bear market? Is there a significant reduction? Can DOT for example unexpectedly go from 41$ to 3$?

2. How many of the top 10 coins aside from BTC and ETH have the potential to maintain their solidity during a bear market?

3. At the moment the Alts I’m invested in are ALGO and SOL, are these solid enough to survive?
