Super hot take: don’t leave coins on exchanges.. BUT if banks were custodians, I’d leave coins in my bank account.

All Cryptocurrencies

They already do it with cash, perhaps the only currency that all your lenders and services accept. It’s fast, and there’s ample customer service for transactions. Imagine no more mistransactions, I imagine transfers being like ACH or (hopefully) very very cheap wires that are instant. I’m not saying banks are equipped with this capability now, but say in the future with lightning network. It goes against EVERYTHING crypto was build for and I get that, but everytime I fudge a transaction or something wonky happens, my bank makes me whole, even with fraud. I don’t know, what do y’all think? Don’t be scared, be honest. How would you have it?

EDIT: Okay, it’s getting a little weird, so full disclosure; my crypto is on a hardware wallet. Not your keys yeah yeah I know. I’m saying is it feasible, that sometime in the future, could banks gain your trust with a custodial service. It’s okay to say, “never ever in a million years.” But it’s not okay to just respond to a hot take with, “you don’t know crypto or how it works”. I’m not an expert, but I’ve spend more crypto in tx fees than some people have in their wallets. I’m here being curious as to the responses, not here to be your punching bag.
