Strange email from crypto.com

I have received an email from Crypto.com with a "verification code" to finish setting up my Crypto.com account. I know there are countless scams like this, however the email really seemed to be coming from crypto.com and the links in the email were genuine, e.g. redirecting to chat.crypto.com (the link looked like: http://url1137.crypto.com/ls/click?\[...\]).

I have never even tried to open an account on crypto.com. I connected to their chat system, without using the link in the email, and according to the support person I spoke to, there is no account associated with my email address.

Is there anything else I should be doing, apart from ignoring the email?
