Should I learn building dapps in ethereum or on lbry?

I want to eventually build a decentralized social media or video sharing application. At first, I wanted to start learning Solidity so I can build it on the Ethereum network but I heard gas fees can be atrocious especially when uploading videos. That's when I came across LBRY, which so far seems very effective in uploading metadata without the expensive fees, but the downside is that there isn't much documentation or tutorials on how to build dapps in that blockchain. Is it still worth it learning Ethereum?
