Short Story Long: Friend broke up last week and now just came home to find it ransacked…. Bitcoin wallet gone….

He broke up with his gf on 12/10 and just now told me his place got broken into…. Laptop stolen and cold Ledger wallet gone also….a lot of valuables were taken…

He hid half his seed inside the PS5 (other half bury in garden) but that had been taken also (obviously)…..said he checked online his bitcoin hasnt moved so most likely whoever took the PS5 dont realise theres half a seed inside and the thief is most likely just playing GTA with it at the moment…(who would crack open a perfectly working PS5 anyway)

Got a text from a random number obviously its his ex and said do you want to spill the password or else she will just burn it. Its obvious she knows she has him where she wants him and probably thinks the seed is in his laptop which she couldnt login (but the seed is not in the laptop but she doesnt know).

Friend said he had $25k bitcoin in ledger but i suspect theres more coz he also has alts. So both parties have something (a lot of money actually) to lose if one side dont play ball

I propose to him:

1) tell his ex theres $10k in the wallet and he would split it if she meets up in a very open plain sight area to make sure no funny business, and he can open the ledger and send her $5k on the spot

2) try to track down the PS5 to retrieve the half seed so he can migrate the whole wallet over, but he dont actually knows where it is may involve tracking it down starting from his ex place, might still be there

3) call cop but obviously risk losing everything, there is likely no trace of evidence if we bust her place and even if there is it wont help with getting the cold wallet stuff back

Think option 2 is the best but involves illegal entry and dont know if theres a group of guys with her right now given it looks like an army looted the whole place

Please help advise ????
