Saif and Saylor gave me something to think about.

Ive been trying to wrap my head around what a world on a bitcoin standard looks like or how it functions. Plenty of people have ideas or opinions on how bitcoin fixes things but government and the world at large is not so simplistic. So i occasionally run into roadblocks or things that seem uncertain.

Both Saifedean and Saylor are polarizing people. Ive seen both positive and negative comments directed at both. They did a podcast on Saif's podcast awhile back and they just did a new one recently

I was shocked at how almost terse Saylor was at times. Surprised at how composed and respectful Saif was. I would have been hard pressed to keep my ego in check. But really the thing to me that i came here to talk about was that i find i can agree with a great deal of the bitcoin standard from Saifs perspective. He does a good job for my intellectual level of laying out his arguement of what and how BTC can do.

Ive listened to just about every world Saylor has online and really like his pragmatic point of view. Yes its very boring to hear alot of the examples that are kinda long-winded but if you can keep focused he brings it home in the end.

I would never have expected this conversation to be so one sided as you would think two of the biggest names in this sphere would agree almost on just about everything regarding BTC and the dollar.

It was quite the eye-opener to see that Saylor has a lot of thoughts on the dollars role in the future and its not replaced by BTC. This chat has done so much more to paint a clearer picture than anything ive heard in the last six years. Every time Saif tried to issue a comment about the collapse of the dollar, Saylor didnt just correct he nearly slapped him down. It was a little brutal to listen to but i respect the no nonsense approach. Im curious if anyone has listened to this and what your thoughts are on it. Again i was just a little shocked at some of the exchanges but im more interested in if any thoughts as to the total collapse and replacement of the dollar vs the BTC shores, backs, runs alongside of etc the dollar.

As i said, ive been trying to think thru what a total BTC world economy looks like and use some of the BTC islands out there to try and gauge if its possible and what those changes might entail. Saylors picture seems easier to conceptualize, doesnt do away with all the graft and bs of the current economy. Seems like hes saying yeah business as usual and BTC is the new best asset. Smart people will embrace it.

But does that change the world more than he views or less than Saifs views? I love the guys at Ego Death Capital and Bitcoin Mechanic and others who can plot out the collapse of the dollar because people always choose the harder money. That makes sense but watching the movie in my head i can only see "ok the world uses btc ". That looks like how we use the dollar. I cant see the trading and how the econmies work, how gov functions, how things are taxed how it all just works. Cause i dont really think that the adoption would happen quickly, some are opposed to it, and honestly there are alot of things that will suffer( as you would hope) like corruption. And alot of things that would benefit. Transparency for one.

I have nobody in my circle that wants to hear anything BTC related so this is an outlet to hopefully get some more perspectives on this. This is mainly directed at maxis and hodlrs, if you are in BTC just for the profits, i dont have issue with you but you are really in this the same way. Maybe thats a good thing? If you have an actual strong arguement lets hear it. But just empty comments arent what i was shooting for. Hell, who am i kidding? You wont have read this far. Nm.
