Reindexing bitcoin core

I'm having trouble with my node. It's not recognizing some of my addresses that have bitcoin in them. (I know they have bitcoin I checked on mempool.space and it cannot be a gap limit issue because they are my first 3 addresses) So I tried using reindex-chainstate=1 in bitcoin.conf then booting up bitcoin core. It seemed like it was working and going through the blocks well. But each time it eventually stopped responding. Should I just use reindex the whole blockchain since things don't seem to be working right? What would you do? Thanks
