Regarding buying crypto

I am new to crypto and wanted to buy 200$ worth of crypto through Kraken, which requires for me to be verified first (national ID, age, etc... those sort of things), and I installed Metamask for the wallet, but I saw that you can buy crypto through Metamask without any verification. So because I am not 18 years old yet, should I use Metamask to buy the crypto ? I also don't intend to invest or sell it, I just need to send 200$ worth of crypto to someone because I am buying something from him. I don't know where I could ask this, that's why I am asking it here.
