There’s something I’m missing due to my limited knowledge of DNS and I would appreciate any insight the community can provide here.
For discussion purposes, let’s say that I am a huge corporation like Nike and would like to utilize the benefits of ENS for payments, rewards, NFTs, etc. then why do I actually need a “.eth” extension when I can import Nike “.com” onto ENS?
What am I missing in terms of “.com” extension on ENS vs a “native” (.eth) ENS domain? Are there any features or benefits unique to “.eth” opposed to a “.com” on ENS?
I apologize if this topic has been discussed before, but I can’t find anything that speaks to this directly and can’t wrap my head around this. Thanks in advance.
