Question regarding binance usd-m futures

I just recently started learning how futures work, so i apologise if this question seems stupid but I'm really confused and need some help so here goes.

About a week ago i did my very first futures trade and made 100$ on it on 10X leverage (investment amount was also 100$). But then a few days later when i entered into another trade with the same amount and leverage, my projected target profit was about 30$ instead (the target range was basically the same as the first trade).

So, what exactly is wrong here? Can somebody please clarify my doubt?
