A few hours ago I received a call, from a german number, where a guy with a strong british accent told me he was calling me from the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) from the UK, to tell me there have been suspicious bitcoin transactions under my name (he gave me my full name).
He asked me if I had bitcoin in any crypto casino, and if I had cryptos in an exchange which one was it. He also asked me about what coins I have.
He also asked me if I was able to check if there were any shady transactions in my crypto sites while we spoke, to which I told him I couldn't.
I didn't particularly find weird the questions he asked me, but I didn't disclose any sensible information (though I'll have to admit I was worried during the phone call). For security, I contacted the NCSC and they told me said number is NOT from the NCSC.
I don't know if it's a scam (I'll try to get more info if he calls me tomorrow) and share it here, but not being an actual NCSC number raises enough red flags. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
