No, SHIB can’t reach $1 but never underestimate the psychology of numbers

We’ve all seen the SHIB TO $1 crowd, right? A crowd who doesn’t understand market cap and basic economics. A crowd that believes their cute little shit coin can reach $1 per token even if that would mean the entire market value of SHIB would be greater than total global wealth..

Well, I’ve been in that crowd. No, not for SHIB and not publicly, but I happen to have 100,000 of a low market cap coin, and since the day I acquired them, I find myself thinking about how great it will be when it reaches a dollar or even a penny. You have to understand that I’m fully aware that’s never gonna happen.. But it got me thinking.. what’s it about $1 that we so ridiculously want to reach. How many of us are in similar crowds that maybe, just maybe, make $1 dreams a reality if we believe really hard? Are we underestimating the psychology of numbers and power of irrational crowds?

Marketers figured this out a long time ago. They know that some numbers have a psychological impact on consumers and they use the shit out of those numbers to sell you their product and convince you that you got a good deal on it. They successfully convinced many consumers that $1.99 is closer to $1 than to $2 by making them subconsciously ignore the last digits. There is a reason why prices in most advertising material ends in the digit 9.

In low market cap crypto, it’s really easy to fantasize about $0.00001 becoming $0.01 or higher. Because if it can become $0.0001 or $0.001 then what’s another zero, right? Your mind will play tricks on you when you’re dealing with so many zeroes and dreaming about your lambo. In reality, $0.001 becoming $0.01 is a 10x or equivalent of almost 1000% increase in value, not 10% or 100%. Now imagine that shitcoin reaching $1. That’s unlikelier than my imaginary gf leaving her bf and getting back with me.

The thing about $1 is that it offers a sense of achievement and closure. Number 1 represents a winner after all. 1 is practical and feels complete. It also represents a fresh beginning and possibilities that await us.

So the next time someone irrationally claims SHIB is going to reach $1, try to empathize with them in their quest to remove a million zeroes to finally find achievement and closure. We in this sub want our precious MOONS to reach $1 too after all, so who are we to judge SHIB.. na I’m just kidding, anyone who thinks SHIB can reach $1 is dumb and lazy.

Moons will definitely reach $10 tho because $1 is only going to be a beginning and Number 10 truly represents closure and the end of a cycle. Fun fact: r/CC Moons needs 915x to reach SHIB’s current market cap. That would put each moon at roughly $92.
