Hello folks, For a few days/weeks I have been trying to find out the way of working of OpenSea. Long story short, I’ve noticed that in every NFT token sale, there are some main actions.
- The sale amount of ether is sent to OpenSea wallet (fees)
- All other ETH is sent to the seller
- The token is transferred to the buyer.
As far as I know, the function to send a NFT token from one to other (ERC721) doesn’t require any ETH because its not a “payable” method. So technically it’s possible to bypass the creator royalties.
So am I right that it’s possible for someone to create a NFT marketplace without applying any royalty mechanism?
