Nenolod a fan of cryptocurrencies started the ambitious project bitbrew in 2011

This enabled anyone to brew their own coffee and beer using cryptocurrency bitbrew aimed to develop a decentralized brewing platform. In the future nenolod saw people using their bitcoin to pay for anything from materials like coffee beans to equipment like coffee maker rental and buying and even services of a barista. At the time bitBrew was a ground breaking idea that drew a lot of interest from the bitcoin community. But eventually the concept was unable to find traction. This was due to a multitude of factors including as the murky business plan, the complicated technology and the brewers' lack of enthusiasm. Despite its demise bitBrew is still regarded as a groundbreaking cryptocurrency concept. It demonstrated the versatility of blockchain technology and provided motivation for other developers to produce products along similar lines. Although BitBrew was a brave and ambitious endeavor it eventually fell short of its objectives. Nevertheless it is still seen as a crucial turning point in the evolution of bitcoin technology.
