My parents stopped are embarrassed of me because I bought bitcoin

First off, I do not live with them, I live by myself and own my things. Work full time.

During the January 2023 bear market of Bitcoin I decided to buy it. I bought 2 Bitcoins after reading so much about it and researching it. Well I was at my parent’s house and decided to use my laptop there. My mother used my laptop and she saw my history of Bitcoin searches. A whole discussion ensued and my parents started yelling at me for wasting my money on “fake money”.

I explained what I do is my business and did not discuss further. Well now everything gathering I go to they make fun of me for buying Bitcoin, I am always the butt of every joke, saying how I put my money into something stupid, or even if I do make money I am still not smart because I just got lucky from stupidity. It gets annoying but I still hold strong and remain silent.

Constantly telling me to stop relying on fake money and rely on the banks everyone else uses, they tell me I just want to be different and difficult, I explain they can do what they feel is right but I will do what I want. They also pulled away from me now I noticed more and are colder with me.

I am holding strong and believe in Bitcoin, the banking system is lying to us, “money” or should I say “Fiat” is losing its value everyday.

I don’t care if I get hated for what I believe in, I know the truth.

Also don’t worry it’s not on an exchange since those close down.
