A while ago I saw a post on this sub about a cannabis dispensary near Montreal (Warriorbuds, Kanesatake) accepting Bitcoin as payment. There wasn't much more info about it - if they used the LN, the main layer, or other platforms - so I went there myself to find out.
The clerk was a pretty nice dude. They accept Bitcoin through the main layer, no additional fees (and no, I did not have to wait for the transaction to be confirmed / it wasn't a huge quantity).
It felt nice to use Bitcoin instead of my credit card. I hope I'll be able to use it more and more as a mean of payment in the future.
