My father plays the lottery every week, has never won and calls my crypto investment "stupid gambling"

God I can't even imagine how much money he has lost in the past 20 years on lottery tickets, I surely don't want to think how much he could have made in the stock or crypto markets with that money.

People don't understand the actual odds of winning the lottery, it's a rigged system that is supposed to keep you poor. Sure it may be fun to buy one ticket once per year but people who treat the lottery as some sort of investment that will pull them out of poverty are simply delusional.

I will keep investing in crypto everytime he buys lottery tickets, I wonder who will be better off 20 years from now.
