Moons will suffer a tremendous dump upon mainnet launch once there is sufficient liquidity and the users of this subreddit are simply not ready for what is going to happen.

Currently, xMoon (the xDai version of Moons; moderators, are these even confirmed to be equivalent ot mainnet Moons?) only has $35,789 available in liquidity for trading, and this is the only exchange where xMoon is available. The reason this is relevant is that very small market orders can drastically impact the price. Someone buying $1,000 of xMoon on Honeyswap may pump the price $0.01 or more. While people may get excited that "Moons are pumping", in reality, they are being primarily traded by bots in response to Ethereum and Bitcoin movements. When xMoons pump against Ethereum or Bitcoin, it is usually just a couple of people buying.

The reason that the title of my post says beware, is that the current price of xMoon is not an accurate representation of the fully liquid price of Moons. I'm sure you have noticed a trend that there are hundreds of thousands of people on this subreddit who are excited about earning Moons. The problem with farming tokens is that in order for the value of your yield to be realized, you have to sell it. I personally believe many of the following will happen:

• Moons will launch on mainnet Ethereum and will have more liquidity than they do now
• Once launched, the people who "bought" Moons in expectation of a mainnet pump will race to sell
• Once people start to sell, the price will tank
• As the price tanks, people who swore up and down that they wouldn't sell will watch the value of their earned Moons diminish. Those who have $20,000 in unrealized Moons earnings will have that number glued in their mind and they will want to savor this value. Their solution will be to dump, and hope to buy back in lower (or not at all)
• As the price dumps, and whales dump, other users will start to panic because now their Moons earnings are decreasing and the price is getting absolutely destroyed
• The value of Moons will drop below $0.01, and with every new Moons distribution there will be a predictable dump in value as people sell their earned Moons immediately for realized profit

Another possible variation of this will be that people will FOMO into Moons on mainnet launch, driving the price up, and this will be the catalyst that leads to all of the above listed points.

Bottom line is, if you're earning Moons for free that's awesome! But a) don't expect the value to remain so robust upon mainnet launch as 3 million redditors race to sell, and b) don't buy Moons with the expectation that they are a good long-term hold. Go look at any farming token and see how badly the value of those tokens suffer once people receive their distribution/yield payouts.

Farming tokens are meant to be dumped, and Moons is no exception.

Earning Moons is fun, but beware when thinking of actively purchasing Moons because they will absolutely not maintain their current value.

The purpose of this post is not to bash the concept of Moons. I support the movement Reddit is making and I truly believe that turning subreddits into DAOs is the going to lead to a very bright future for this platform, and Moons (and Donuts) are the pioneering tokens. The true purpose of this post is to try to at least warn those who are less experienced in cryptocurrency that they should beware of the mania surrounding Moons. I would feel really bad if people, especially those who are not in a great financial position, got rekt because they bought Moons and actually thought people here won't dump their free "airdrops" on them (they will). This isn't even taking into account people on other forums/boards who are talking about buying up Moons from Honeyswap to dump on you all when they launch on mainnet.

My prediction is that Moons will be around or under $0.01 within 2 weeks of mainnet launch, and the price will pump before each distribution and then dump even harder in a predictable pattern. You've been warned.
