It doesn’t looked like my staked eth is compounding. Does anyone know if that is correct or if there’s anyway to compound it?

I just got notified through Coinbase that I am now off the waitlist and can stake my Eth. I’m a long term holder so this felt like a no brainer to me, and I did it immediately. For some reason I thought it would compound. I could have sworn I read that somewhere. However, my eth balance is remaining the same while the rewards are accruing separately. Am I looking at this correctly. Is there any way to get it to compound?
