Is it safe to use a 5 year old ledger for cold storage?

I've clearly been living under a rock for the last few month. All my crypto is currently held on Binance. Though I doubt Binance will collapse, I'm not risking it.

I've found a ledge USB cold storage wallet in my drawer. It's been there for about 5 years. I'm going to have to factory reset it.

I'm wondering if it's safe to use due to its age? Could the battery be no good due to lack of use?

I'm scared ill transfer my crypto and then it dies not long after for whatever reason.

My other options are to transfer my crypto to other exchanges that aren't currently getting big fat fines right now..
