Is buying a new iPhone and creating a wallet with MetaMask a safe way of creating a wallet?

I wanna create a very safe wallet without doing extra complex stuff like downloading Linux and such.

Do you think buying a brand new iphone from an apple store and downloading MetaMask from the appstore and using the phone just for crypto transactions a good middle ground?

I basically would like to create a very safe new wallet to store my crypto, I’ve searched online but many people either just tell you to download a wallet online or tell you to use Linux disconnected from the internet.

I don’t wanna over complicate things so I thought that buying a brand new iphone and downloading metamask to create a new wallet would be a good middle ground whole maintaining a very high security standard.
