I often think crypto has a great potential at being THE currency of the future.

All Cryptocurrencies

However, I’ve recently been reading a bit about coronal mass ejections and the probability or possibility of geomagnetic storms as big as or bigger than the Carrington Event, which is the most intense geomagnetic storm in recorded history. Something like that would basically send us to a literal dark age, if it happened now. Cryptocurrency would then be - erased? Along with a lot of other kinds of important data that we have saved on computers/databases/drives etc. I don’t know exactly what I’m getting at other than this is obviously a big downside to cryptocurrency being the only type of “currency” in the future (as I like to imagine it), and I wonder if there is anything that can be created to safeguard your holdings against such an event. Then again, if such an event happens, we’re all pretty much in the same FUBAR situation.
