All Cryptocurrencies

by COINS NEWS 220 Views

Dont worry, this isn’t a shill.

Been a while since I posted my various methods of how you can DCA into crypto, even if you think you’re flat broke. And no, this doesn’t involve loans, or leverage, or “YOLOing” or any other terrible idea you’ll see in the sub. These are just some simple ways you can bring some extra bottom line money without hurting your week to week finances. (Some are admittedly more complex than other.) But without further ado…

Turn in your change jar

I’ve made posts about this in the past, and it’s particularly relevant now. If you’ve had a jar of change “for whatever” collecting dust in your house, think about what that could have become if you had thrown it at crypto last cycle. Yeah, crappy feeling, but unless it’s a true “emergency fund,” those coins just lose value every year

Commit Insurance Fraud

Okay, just making sure you were actually reading. Don’t do this.

Sad thing is, there have been worse ideas offered here.

Check out “The Penny Hoarder.com Again, not shilling, but they have some pretty useful advice on there for ways to drum up some cash that I have not mentioned here

Create Content

YouTube and various other content sites offer ways to make money from home. Many people utilize their talents or interests in various ways to create channels/ streams/ commercials etc, and while very few people “blow up,” just remember, even if your stuff only brings in a little, it’s money you didn’t have, and it could be worth a lot more if you invest it right.

Have a goddamn yard sale Otis.

Look, there is undoubtly shit lying around your house you will either throw away at some point or is serving no purpose. If you’ve got some old tools, an extra mower, grandma left you a third set of family China that you know was actually a Yugoslavian knock off etc, chance are you can raise some quick cash this way. After all, wouldn’t you rather have BTC or ETH than a third cat carrier?

Okay, so maybe your name isn’t Otis, but how about Letgo/ Craigslist/ EBay etc?

Again, you’d be surprised what some people will buy. If nothing else, EBAY has pretty much proven that almost EVERYTHING has some value. Hey, if somebody can sell a piece of toast that looks like Jesus for thousands of dollars, your antique melon baller with the dent from when Uncle Ira hit your cousin Boris in the head with it for breaking his favorite Beatles bed pan has got to fetch -something-. Sorry Ira.

Donate stuff

Now this may depend on your state and country, but here in the US charity is highly deductible. You can typically deduct up to 1/3rd of your adjustable gross income for donating the VALUE of a good. And values are complex. For example, if you donate 20 pairs of pants to a thrift store that will sell them on their $8 rack, you are donating $160. This adds up fast. Now imagine you hit the local flea market near closing time and people are just giving totes of clothes away. (Happens ALL the time.). You’d be amazed to learn how fast your taxable income drops. Also, you’re doing good for the community by creating jobs and giving people the opportunity to buy stuff on the cheap.

Rob a Bank

Still with me? Just checking

Speaking of tax liability

The rich are rich for a reason. Trump and Bezos and Musk don’t get to pay zero taxes because they are special people. They have the money and the tax experts to exploit every loophole, and in -most- cases, they are simply following law to the letter. If you can’t change the laws so this shit doesn’t happen, at least be on a level playing field. Know your taxes inside and out, and you’re pretty much guaranteed to owe less than you would if you just TurboTax basiced it.

Gig it.

The new economy means there are hundreds of ways to make money on the side working as much or little as you like. Whether it’s door dashing 4 hours a week or Ubering or signing up to test products, where there is a will, there is a way. My late wife actually delivered a local newsletter for a small business owner for $60 - $120 a week about 7 years ago. Literally was 3-5 hours of her week dropping off advertising and news pamphlets. Not bad for a very part-time job.

vend

Had a friend who bought a route with a dozen vending machines. Made some nice money and basically just had to make sure they were full every week. This is obviously a bigger up front investment, but like any investment, it has the prospect to pay dividends.

Make credit card companies your bitch

This is one of my favorites, but it only works if you are good with your money. Get yourself one of those cards that offers points and use it on -everything-. Set up your autopay and never be late. My capital one card costs me $29 a year as fee, but I’ve received over $7000 lifetime in $500 Home Depot cards to do work on my home, simply by turning in my points. Yeah, no bs. CREDIT CARD COMPANIES HATE HIM AND HIS ONE WEIRD TRICK. Anyway, if you aren’t spending cash to work on your home (one of your biggest investments) it free up money elsewise.

Join apps that reward you for doing stuff

There’s a ton of these. I have two that track my walking and five that take receipt info. All give you points for keeping current with this stuff. Examples are: Miles, Sweatcoin, RecieptHog, RecieptApp, Coinout, Fetch, NCP. I’m sure there are tons more. Again, use the giftcards for living and used the money saved for crypto.

Oh yeah and saving money, by the way

There are a FUCK TON of apps that can save you money you never ever knew you had. Earnie can check on places you’ve spent money to see if you missed a deal and even offers bull bargaining services. Rakuten rewards you for places you might already shop at. There are a ton of coupon apps, and Retail Me Not and Groupon are huge money savers too. Sometimes it’s just about checkin them before you eat at your local diner. You can also use RAISE to buy giftcards at a discount for your location while you eat out.

Create an Onlyfans, Or an OnlyDans if your name is Dan

I don’t actually advise this, but hey, if you want to make money selling pics of your nasty feet stepping on jello, you do you fam.

Anyway, this is what’s on my mind now. I plan to Add to this post and post again in a few weeks once I’ve compiled more.

At the end of the day, the more we save our fiat earned in the labor mines from leaving our well-worn hands, the more we can support crypto’s growth. And at the end of the day, if I’m helping anyone earn another step towards financial freedom, then by god I’ve done good.

Edit:

Yeah yeah, shit post for moons.

But hey, this sub is a cool place. At least make effort.
