How to avoid telling parents I put 1.4K into crypto

Here’s something for some creative answers. So I recently put £1.4K into crypto coins I believe I think will have a great 2022 and now my parents are wanting some of that money which I don’t have because yknow it’s in crypto.

So What’s some good ways they’ll understand, because even though I’m confident in my current investments they for sure will not support it lol as they have no clue how it works and will think I am just throwing my money away. Thinking of just admitting and taking the beatings as they come ????
