How do you keep yourself objective?

I don't think I have to lecture you guys about the inflationary nature of fiat, the perils of our current global political climate, the importance of imparcialty through decentralization, blah blah blah. If you inform yourself, you'll make the best decision for you... but that doesn't exactly work for existencial fears about an unpredictable future.

My personal opinion is that bitcoin will keep going up forever, which is why I wanna dump all my money into it as soon as possible to catch the (maybe) cheapest price now compared to years into the future. But there's a non-zero chance I'm wrong. Also, I went back to school, that's happening right now, and in the short term, even though I'd love to use the current bull run to DCA out just enough to not need a job and focus only on my studies (I don't have much, but I'm very frugal), what happens when like last month, the damn thing goes down and I gotta pay rent?

Usually the answer would be to have an emergency fund, or to quit bitching and get a job, or just not buying in the first place and focusing on getting through school, and many other very valid opinions. I guess for me it's a matter of conviction. I've learnt about this stuff for a long while, I'm convinced is going up forever (over the very long term, that is), and I wanna buy right now instead of later because of the next US election (and this year in general tbh, with the ETF, halving and more) and its economical impact. Republican or democrat, we all know this one is a big one...

But I can be wrong, I know I can be very wrong, and if I am, I'll lose it all... but if I'm right, I won't have to get a job during school, and school itself NEEDS to work, even more than BTC going up really. I just wanna be a good student and focus on my shit goddamnit I don't wanna work right now ????

Anyway, blabber over. My question is: how do you avoid doing stupid, impulsive things out of an exurbance of faith? How do you keep yourself objective, in good times and bad?
