Are you worried about your alt-coin bleeding out?
Depending on what alt-coin you picked, it could just be a speed bump on the road or devastating news.
If you picked an alt-coin more driven by hype, something more focused on marketing, or just focused on tokenomics to make users some quick cash, or a project that's an imitator and not a contender, or even something that solves a problem but is going the wrong way about it, then you likely bought more into short term bullish trends, than long term establishment.
If you picked an alt-coin that has strong technology and a strong team behind it, solving important problems, then you just need to be patient. If the development goes well, you'll still have a strong project when the market returns to a bullish cycle. You'll have better odds of still having a project people still want to buy in a year or two.
Right now the market is very volatile and oscillates back and forth between bullish and bearish trends and then cycles. For every action there is an opposite reaction. Mainly due to the more speculative state the market is in.
The intrinsic value of crypto.
Crypto is mostly digital, apart from the miners and the network of machines, there's not really much in tangible items behind it. But intrinsic value isn't just physical items.
The intrinsic value is in the algorithm, and the service and solutions the blockchain provides to its users.
Think of it more like a software.
What makes software valuable? It solves problems.
And in the end, the value of any tech is in its ability to solve problems.
Same thing with cryptocurrency. What makes blockchain valuable is that it solves the problem of centralization and trust for people. Along with problems of currencies, solving problems of banking, finance, and now of just about anything in the world.
The questions to ask about your coin:
What problems does it solve?
Do people or businesses need this?
Is anyone else solving this better?
Is the methodology sound?
Are they using the right technology?
Is there a good team developing this?
Short term, hype makes you the most money. But you have to be early, and also be quick to sell. So it's much more about timing. And you know what they say about timing the market....
Long term, strong projects with good solutions are more likely to win the marathon. Here, you aren't worried as much about dips along the way. If you bought at the wrong time, you can always hang on for the next bullish wave. Stronger fundamentals gives you a more solid foundation to sail through a bear market.
It's not a guarantee, but it gives you better odds.
