Help point out obvious scams to help others avoid getting scammed if you can

For years now I've been getting added to random scam groups on Telegram and then people post these pics of money counting machines and fake screenshots they made from investing in some scam platform. Usually I just click "Report and Leave" and leave the group.

Someone once said:"Evil prevails when good men fail to act". The famous pastor Derek Prince told this story once where he asked the audience: Who commits a greater sin, a man who steals to provide food for his family, or a man who doesn't want to jump into a river to save a drowning child, because he doesn't want to ruin his fancy suit he is wearing. Obviously the man who didn't want to save the drowning child. This story demonstrates that sometimes we are evil if we just do nothing while other people suffer, when we could have done something.

So I decided to start calling out scammers in the hope that others would see my warning.

So recently I decided to each time call out the admins of the group and tell people:"Leave this group, this is a scam". I then got a dm and someone asked me for proof that this telegram group was a scam.

I then just basically explained why which came down to that these people are random people and they want to manage your btc for you. I encouraged her to just open her own account on an exchange and start figuring out how everything works, and not to take financial advice from anyone even me. I also sent her some material from a course that explains how hardware wallets work etc.

She then replied and told me that she was about to invest a substantial amount into this scam and that my message had gotten her attention and saved her from this scam.

I never thought that people paid attention to anything I said on these big groups on telegram. This was pretty eye opening to me and I feel like I did something good. I also felt good for exposing the works of darkness.

The TLDR here is: We are those that are in the know how of this stuff, even though it feels really simple to you. Other people are at the beginning stages with crypto as it becomes part of the mainstream now. Educate people, even if you just say:"This is a scam, be careful". This can apply to shady posts that people get tagged in on twitter too and many other platforms.
