Google API and Web3 Integrations

Hey frendos, I come bearing good news(especially if you’re a Web3 dev). Flare has integrated its API Portal with Google Cloud Marketplace, one of the first blockchain APIs to be available, meaning its node data and other connected chains are now easily accessible to google cloud marketplace users, making transactions even easier to perform.

This is great news for devs, especially GCP certified ones, as they get access to APIs from lots of chains in one easy place. Hopefully, this will really ramp up mainstream adoption and enable more junior devs to enter this space - as there aren’t many junior tech roles in this industry.

From what I understand, this means devs won’t have to run nodes necessarily to interact with every blockchain they want to interact with, which should enable more experimentation, as well as being able to build better cross-chain applications. This also should reduce maintenance and hardware costs which is often the biggest barrier to Web3.

Thinking more broadly, once this comes into fruition this should encourage larger organizations and GCP partners to start their Web3 journeys which should in turn reduce the stigma this industry faces. In addition, this is really positive for GCP as the GCP market has had a lull recently, and forming API integrations with projects like Flare is a really good step forward.
