Reddit has now started collecting their 2.5% fee from OpenSea, this means that if you purchase or sell a reddit avatar on OpenSea you are now paying a 7.5% fee on every purchase.
2.5% for the artist
2.5% for Reddit
2.5% for OpenSea
The Genius move here is that when Reddit launches "Reddit Swap" (name is not confirmed buy it's what I'm calling it) they will only be taking a 5% fee from each avatar. This is going to save anybody using Reddit Swap 2.5% on every transaction, even NFT bros that don't like Reddit Avatars for their use and are only trading them for profit will create an account to be able to save 2.5% on every trade.
Reddit will pretty much take over the Avatar marketplace which seems to be most of the NFT market on Polygon at the moment.
