I was doing some general research as someone mentioned that they think the FBI created Bitcoin for financial surveillance on the black market. While I love a conspiracy as much as the next guy, I don't think that is necessarily true.
But it got me Googling and I forgot the FBI seized Ross Ulbricht's wallet during the SilkRoad lockdown. So naturally I looked up the wallet address as I was curious to see how many coins were still in there.
It was to my surprise to see there has been transactions as recent of January 20th, 2022 so I'm now wondering...what is going on?
Are people still sending small amount of Sats to the account to troll them? It looks like this wallet is sending funds out so are they actively moving the coins to other wallets? If so, who owns those other wallets? Does the FBI even still own this wallet?
Lots of questions, not a lot of answers but I thought it was interesting to say the least.
