And the whole moonfarming thing certainly doesn't help either. People aren't encouraged to have a discussion, just to write the most inflammatory or agreeable comment that'll get them upvotes. There's no discussions, only 'gotcha's.
And it's not just in reddit, all over crypto people are either negative, looking for a fight or are so deep into their favorite coin that they basically become cultitsts. I feel like it's hard for people to take us seriously when half of the crypto communtiy is infighting and the other half is completely immune rto reason and prone to being scammed.
I guess it's not hard to see why. Crypto means money is involved, and money makes every discussion inflammatory, especially when it's an asset as volatile and as young and crypto, with so many ardent doubters and believers. But I really think in order for the space to grow in the future and become more attractive to new investors, we need to start aknowledging the good and the bad, without getting boggled down in stupid fighting and trying to one up the other person.
Just my thoughts. Talking about crypto has felt very irritating lately.
