Do you think privacy is important?

One of the most important and controversial topics in the modern world is privacy, especially when it comes to crypto and other digital technologies. Privacy refers to the right or ability of individuals or groups to control how their personal information is collected, used, shared, and protected. Privacy in regards to crypto and in general is not a simple or static issue. It involves many challenges and trade-offs from various perspectives, such as legal, ethical, social, and technical.

It looks we are marching towards a world where privacy could be a thing of the past. We are constantly being watched and tracked by cameras everywhere, whether in public spaces or private domains. We are also facing the emergence of CBDC’s ,which could replace cash and enable more surveillance and control over our financial activities. Our data is being commodified and exploited without our permission. We are also required to comply with mandatory KYC and regulations for crypto transactions in general, which could compromise our anonymity and expose our identities. We are also subject to biometrics collection, which who knows how it's being used.

Things are not as bad as they could be (compared with what they might be like in the future). But if nothing changes we are definitely going in that direction and we better accept it ( whatever that may imply for each one of us)

The population appears to be split on this issue. There are some who believe that privacy is a basic right that should be respected and protected by law and society. On the other hand there are lot’s of people who seem not to care and think privacy is exaggerated or unnecessary, so I decided to conduct this poll to see what our sub thinks.
